eClarus Business Process Modeler for SOA Architects V 2.1 IDE Installation for Eclipse 3.3 or Eclipse 3.4

Follow these instructions to install the eClarus Business Process Modeler for SOA Architects V 2.1 plugins into Eclipse 3.3 or Eclipse 3.4.

Prerequisites

• Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or SDK v5.0 or later ( Java download page)
• Eclipse 3.3.x ( Eclipse 3.3.2 download site) or Eclipse 3.4 ( Eclipse 3.4 download site)
• Web Tools Platform (WTP) Project ( WTP download site)
• BIRT Project ( BIRT download site)
• EMF Project ( EMF download site)
• GEF Project ( GEF download site)
• UML2 Project ( UML2 download site)

Installation

The eClarus Business Process Modeler for SOA Architects V 2.1 installs into Eclipse using the built-in Install/Update wizard.

Eclipse 3.4

1. Launch Eclipse, and then click Help > Software Updates.
2. Select "Available Software" pane.
3. Add eClarus Update site:
   • Click "New Site". The New Update Site dialog opens.
   • Set the URL to "http://update.eclarus.com/2.1/", then click OK.
   • Select "eClarus Business Process Modeler" feature and click "install"
   
   

Eclipse 3.3

1. Launch Eclipse, and then click Help > Software Updates > Find and Install
2. Select "Search for New features to install" and click Next.
3. Click "New Remote Site". Set the Name field to "eClarus update site" and the URL field to "http://update.eclarus.com/2.1/" and click Next.
4. Click Next, then accept the terms and click Next again, then click Finish. Eclipse will download and install the selected features from eClarus update site. When installation is complete, Eclipse will prompt you to restart, click OK.
